Advertising & Sponsorship Disclosure
How Commercial Relationships Are Labeled
CVA supports advertisers, businesses, organizations, agencies, and public-sector partners through clearly identified commercial opportunities. Labels may include Standard Business Profile, Featured Business, CVA Featured Partner, Sponsored, Platform Sponsor, or another approved disclosure. A paid or enhanced placement must be labeled where a reasonable user can see and understand the relationship.
What Paid Placement Does—and Does Not—Mean
Commercial participation may include enhanced profile placement, sponsor modules, expert contributions, category positioning, newsletter or campaign inclusion, and contextual placement within relevant city, Place, industry, event, or guide content. Payment does not automatically mean that CVA independently verified, recommends, ranks, guarantees, or endorses the advertiser, its credentials, services, prices, results, or claims.
Editorial Independence & Claims
CVA may allow advertisers to review their own factual information for accuracy, but CVA retains control over formatting, categorization, disclosures, placement rules, corrections, and publication. Regulated, professional, health, financial, legal, real-estate, contractor, GovCon, and other claims must be sourced and may require additional review. CVA may reject, edit, suspend, or remove commercial content that is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, incomplete, out of scope, or inconsistent with platform standards.
Placement, Duration & Conflicts
Featured and sponsored placement should be controlled through identifying the business or sponsor, page or category relationship, position, display order, start and end dates, disclosure label, status. A business should maintain one canonical profile even when it appears in multiple paid or organic contexts. CVA may manage category conflicts, exclusivity, availability, and placement according to written agreements.
