Champions Baseball: Every Player Belongs

Inclusive baseball in Virginia Beach for children and young adults with disabilities. A place to play, make friends and be part of a team.

A different kind of game day

The joy of being on the team

The Champions Division makes room for players whose disabilities make a traditional baseball or softball program difficult to join. Great Neck Baseball League describes play matched to each participant’s abilities, using T-ball or coach pitch.

There are no tryouts, no outs and no scores. Buddies help players take part in the game, while the program puts participation and teamwork at the center of the experience.

Aid Another partners with Great Neck Baseball League for Champions baseball. The program serves players with a range of disabilities, including autism.

A little time. A real connection.

Become an adult or junior buddy

Buddies help players with activities such as throwing, batting and moving around the field. Junior buddies work alongside players, with adult volunteers helping support the game. Aid Another also lists coaching and assistant-coaching roles.

This is a way for neighbors, students and families to share the enjoyment of baseball. Contact the program about volunteer roles, orientation and the seasonal schedule.
