Cox and First Colonial: Three School Sports Dates to Follow, October 16–20

For Great Neck families following school sports, the next few days offer three different ways to get behind a local team. Cox’s official calendar lists a Friday football game, a Tuesday field-hockey visit to First Colonial and a Tuesday volleyball home match.

Friday night: Cox hosts Princess Anne

October 16, 2026, at 7 p.m. Cox’s varsity football team is scheduled to host Princess Anne. Start with the school’s current athletics information when planning tickets, arrival and entry.

Tuesday afternoon: Cox visits First Colonial

October 20 at 4 p.m. Girls varsity field hockey takes Cox to First Colonial. This fixture gives supporters of both schools a local game to follow.

Tuesday evening: volleyball at Cox

October 20 at 6 p.m. Cox’s girls varsity volleyball team is scheduled to host Tallwood. The evening start offers another option for families who cannot make an afternoon game.

Check before you go

All times are Eastern. School calendars can change; confirm the venue, admission, accessibility arrangements and any weather-related updates before leaving home. A listed fixture is a scheduled game, not a reported result.

Schedule checked October 15, 2026, against the official Cox High School calendar. This article covers October 16–20; for later dates, use the current school calendar.
