Early-October recap: This report covers Cox’s results through October 1, 2026. The record below is a snapshot from that point in the season.

Cox’s girls volleyball team built a winning run that required more than straight-set sweeps.

The Falcons won 3–2 at Landstown on September 29, then followed with a 3–1 victory at First Colonial on October 1. Those results extended their streak to six matches and moved Cox to 12–4 overall, with an 8–2 region record in the published schedule.

Four sweeps, then two road tests

The streak began with 3–0 wins over Salem, Norfolk Academy, Princess Anne and Bayside. Landstown pushed Cox to five sets before the Falcons added the four-set win at First Colonial.

That sequence gives Great Neck supporters a clear storyline to follow: whether Cox can keep winning as October brings familiar opponents back around.
