Tim Johnson emerged as the apparent winner in Suffolk’s Holy Neck Borough, where he was the only named candidate. His experience connects a local family business with schools, community organizations and the public decisions that support them.
A Suffolk background with lasting connections
Johnson graduated from Forest Glen High School, earned a horticulture degree at Virginia Tech and later pursued business studies at Old Dominion University. He has operated Johnson’s Gardens and was elected to represent Holy Neck in 2014.
His community experience includes the Suffolk Lions Club, college and school boards, and the Suffolk Community Gardens Project. Those roles link local enterprise with the institutions and shared places residents use.
Following the relationship between schools and city resources
Johnson has served on the City School Advisory Committee on Collaborative Fiscal Concerns. That assignment provides a particular connection between municipal finances and the needs of local education.
Running a business and serving community institutions involve attention to people, resources and long-term upkeep. As another Holy Neck term comes into view, those experiences offer residents a useful introduction to his approach and the budget, infrastructure and development matters they can follow through council.
