Veterans Day offers a moment to recognize military service. This year, Neptune SHIELD Foundation is inviting Hampton Roads residents and businesses to help support what comes next: civilian careers, new ventures and a stronger network of people around transitioning veterans.

Raise the Shield takes place Wednesday, November 11, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Neptune SHIELD Tech Hub, 448 Viking Drive, Suite 300, in Virginia Beach. The fundraiser also marks the hub’s first anniversary.

A local evening with a practical purpose

The organizer describes an evening bringing together friends, partners and supporters, with proceeds supporting Neptune SHIELD Foundation programs. Its current admission descriptions include a buffet dinner. The focus is on connecting the community with the people and work behind the foundation.

That work follows three pillars. Educate addresses workforce development and the transition into civilian employment. Empower supports veteran entrepreneurship through initiatives including SEAL Tank. Embrace focuses on resilience, leadership and community support. Together, they give the evening a purpose that continues after guests head home.

Choose how you would like to participate

The registration page currently lists a $175 Veteran Supporter ticket, a $200 early-bird Shield Supporter ticket, and $250 standard admission. Check the organizer’s page for eligibility, the current early-bird deadline and availability before purchasing.

Businesses and groups can explore four main sponsorship levels: Shield at $2,500, Mission at $5,000, Trident at $7,500 and Neptune at $10,000. Each offers a different combination of attendance and recognition. The organizer should confirm the final guest count and benefits for the package you choose.

Unable to attend? The same registration page offers a donation option. Sharing the event with a colleague, a veteran-owned business or a company that supports military families is another practical way to introduce the foundation to potential supporters.
